Our Story
It all started with my Dad, aka Zack Shapiro.
When our family moved to Utah, Dad didn’t expect his skin to become a constant source of pain. But soon after settling in, he developed deep dryness and irritation—his skin burned, itched, and eventually broke out into red, welt-like scabs running from his thigh up his side. No matter what he tried—natural lotions, expensive creams, dermatologist recommendations—nothing worked. He spent thousands of dollars on one failed attempt after the other.
Tired of wasting money and getting nowhere, Dad started looking for solutions as a believer in a holistic approach to health, he began researching what people used for skincare 100 years ago, before synthetic creams and lab-made formulas. That’s when he came across beef tallow.
He gave it a try—and it was love at first lather, his skin got the relief it had been looking for.
The problem? Buying tallow-based products was wildly expensive. One company charged nearly $300 a month just to cover enough jars for our family of four. We all loved it—Dad, Mom, Juli (My little sister), and I —but that price wasn’t something we could keep up with.
So, Dad decided to make it himself.
Dad had to make big batches because making a couple of jars wasn't possible, all the extra jars were gifted to our family and close friends —and they started seeing real results, too.
After a year of experimenting, he came up with a whipped tallow blend using grass-fed beef tallow, jojoba oil, and essential oils like lavender and frankincense. It felt incredible, absorbed beautifully, and most importantly—it worked. His skin finally healed. The redness went away. The burning stopped. And the scabs disappeared.
People kept coming back asking, “Can I get another jar?”
Then the rest of the family started seeing results too:
His daughter aka. Juli, with extremely sensitive skin, stopped itching. Her skin got its glow back.
Me aka. Heli, who went through a tough time emotionally, had scars that began to soften and fade after using it regularly.
His niece, who used to rely on prescription eczema cream three times a day, only needed one daily application of the tallow blend—and that was enough.
A family friend noticed that her confidence-crushing eye bags faded, and her face reconnected with her youthful glow
Even Dad's sunspots, something he hadn’t expected to lose, started to lighten.
Then one day, I asked, “Why aren’t we selling this?”
That simple question led to a big realization for Dad: other families need this too.
